Vizient needed one scalable Product Development Lifecycle that could guide teams from idea to launch and improvement — without slowing delivery or adding unnecessary process burden.

We partnered with product, technology, and cross-functional teams to define a practical seven-stage Product Development Lifecycle and embed it into day-to-day ways of working. The work included clarifying decision rights, defining stage-level expectations, aligning partner-team interactions, supporting product tooling adoption, and creating visibility into how initiatives move through the lifecycle.

Vizient established a clearer, more scalable product development model across the enterprise. Within the first six months, 40+ product development teams were onboarded to the PDLC, 10 pilot initiatives were completed within three months, and 27+ partner-team interactions were aligned to support new ways of working. The result was stronger governance, improved cross-functional alignment, clearer KPI visibility, and a stronger foundation for reducing product development cycle time.
